So, You got You a flight helmet? Sweet! One of the best decisions You could've possibly taken. Or it may have been Your employer who issued You one and insists You wear it. A great step-up in personal safety. And we pray for You not to make a proof of it in person, ever.
From now on Your helmet forms a part of You, the chopper driver. It is Your signature, one would say. You rely on it to get the ATC control comms right to Your ears and transmits Your replies to them.
Well, it may be a good idea to have it checked. Padding replaced. Perhaps volume control added or impedance switch installed? And how about some nice custom paint job? No fancy airbrush, of course, just a bit of low-profile customization. Or are You after hummingbird-like wild and shiny colors?
